𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗙 𝗨𝟮𝟬 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: 𝗕𝗵𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝟱-𝟬 𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮 Bhutan’s U-20 women’s football team recorded an emphatic 5-0 victory over Sri Lanka in the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship 2025, played this afternoon at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The junior Dragon Girls got off to a flying start, scoring three goals in quick succession in the 2nd, 15th, and 23rd minutes to take a 3-0 lead by halftime. Bhutan continued to dominate the game in the second half, adding two more goals in the 78th and 87th minutes to seal the win, giving Bhutan their first victory in the tournament. The SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship is being played in a double round-robin format, where each team will face every other team twice. The team with the highest points at the end of all matches will be crowned champions. Bhutan will next face defending champions Bangladesh on Tuesday. This win boosts Bhutan’s morale after a tough opening match against Nepal and keeps their hopes alive in the regional championship. Video: Sportzworkz
