INFO:
When I’m transitioning someone — whether it’s blonde to blonde or blonde to brunette — I always like to pull through lowlights. It gives the grow out a much more seamless, dimensional look. If you only tone and melt, you usually just end up with a rooted highlight that still feels like it’s growing out. For this look, I used @L’Oréal Professionnel Dia Color for the lowlights — it has a more opaque finish that really anchors the dimension. Then I toned all over with @Redken Pro Shades EQ for a sheer, luminous finish through the highlights. That balance — opaque lows and sheer highs — is what creates that believable, natural movement I’m always after.
