Throughout the Second World War, there were many women who were executed after being involved in resistance and spying. One of these was Kate Voelkner, a young Parisian woman who would get a job inside of a senior Nazis office. She worked alongside the resistance to pass over information regarding slave labour programmes, but then Kate would be betrayed for her work. She was arrested, and she was then condemned by a Nazi court and she would be executed on a guillotine inside of a horrific Nazi prison. Plotzensee Prison was said to have been one of the bloodiest prisons and execution chambers as thousands were executed in this room.
